I would personal want to see him in a fight with Clotty that to me would prove how good he really is Margarito is going to rematch Paul Williams soon or at least that is what i herd he was going to do i could be wrong though hope the fight happens to be honest i think Margarito could pull it off though

I wouldn't mind seeing Berto fight Judah either; would be interesting to see how Berto dealt with Zab's speed and if Zab could keep the young guy off him for the whole fight.

Berto has some speed for himself he looks fast but it has been against not the best opposition but he has power and a lot of speed

Cintron would kill him right now, Etrada landed way to many punches and is not the power puncher Cintron is. Plus with Cintrons long range he can wear out Berto with thejab and then finish him off in the end.

Cotto would systematically break down Berto going from the body to the head and knocking him out in the later rounds, although I think he could get caught and taste the canvas but will get back up to finish the job, ala Trinidad and Pavlik.

Mayweather, would box circles around him, but I believe if he was going to look semi impressive this would be his best bet as PBF does not hit as hard as the above mentioned to KO Berto. But Again I still can not even picture Berto coming close.

Williams would be the only one I think Berto can catch at this time, Williams will out hustle him in the begining but towards the end will get tired. But the constant jab in the face of Berto will make it hard for him to win.

In all I don't think he can beat any of them, but his best bet is with Williams. as he can hit Williams and possibly hurt hit in the later rounds like Margarito did to Williams.

Dan Rafael mentioned in his chat last Friday that the Williams and Cintron camps are discussing a possible fight for early next year. The discussions are only in the preliminary stages right now, so nothing definite. I'd love to see that fight and don't have much interest in Williams fighting Margarito again. I think it would play out pretty much the same. And there really isn't any upside to that fight for Williams. It won't help him to get Cotto or Mosely or one of the other big names by beating Margarito a second time, but unifying the WBO/IBF belts against Cintron very well might.

As far as Berto goes, I'm kinda surprised by a lot of the negativity...I thought he looked sensational. Sure, his defense looked leaky, but Cotto is no defensive master either. He is an offensive dynamo...fast hands, power in both hands, goes to the body savagely. I think he'll be a future champ, but no doubt it will be difficult going at 147. Probably does need at least one fight against a top 10 guy before trying to take the next step. Quintana sounds like a good test. Maybe Urkal after that, then a title shot.

I agree that Williams is the best chance for Berto. It would make an interesting stylistic match up, that would come down to who could impose their will and get the fight at their preferred distance and pace.

If Berto could get inside enough to punish his body early, I think he could catch Williams in the later rounds. I'd still have to give the edge to Williams because of his experience. But if Williams is still a WW in a couple of fights, Berto should go after him.

Of course, Berto's last bout was an elimination bout, so...

CC. I was thinking the same thing. My money would be on Judah, Berto gets hit too much and is too green. But I'm a Judah fan, so I'm a little bias.
