Tyson got exposed for the same thing late in his career, early on he could slip his way in,but as his speed diminished he no longer could
Bates problem is that he sucks plain and simple he is not comparable with a good fighter like Tua.

Actually Jeremy is signifigantly better then Tua at going side to side
Hes carrying too much weight to maintain his pace in doing so.So eventually he gets caught
Tua is almost straight on in,so you can just fight him away, and keep him from getting that big punch he wants
Tyson was a nice combination of the two,but age,and bad trainers caught him
Bates is garbage he does nothing better than Tua he is a tomato can.
Go back and watch his fights
Trust me on this one Ice,I know more about Bates then you could hope
He has nice side to side movement,he cant keep the pace he needs to,so as long as you keep him moving, which is his best skill,he breaks down
He's only a solid puncher,so he cant get you out fast with just one punch like Tua can,he needs to wear you down.
But against a higher level fighter he cant do that, because he's about 30 pounds too heavy
But he is signifigantly better then Tua at finding angles
He just cant show the stamina to take any advantage of that as long as he's that big
Tua is coming in one direction, where you are
When Tyson was good,he could do both of the above
