when you look at his resume you have to consider his whole body of work, his record isint split in 2, its like everyone elses... In the 90's he had a good jab, and great ring generalship with the discipline to walk his opponent down and cut off the ring efficiently and controlled, his defense improved by leaps utilizing the cross arm..
George's desire and will was 2nd to none and he left such a mark on the sport that was something of a Folk hero, I rate alltime great in terms of record, quality of opposition and achievment coupled with impact on the sport...
To me it really dosent matter who was tailor made for who, Frazier was considered a worldbeater at the time and George put one of the most brutal beatings ever in a boxing ring 2x
