It's funny, whilst I agree that the Marquez fight is the one that needs to be made I have to say that of the four potential fights out there, Marquez, Valero, David Diaz and I'll add Juan Guzman the Marquez fight is the one I'd like to see the least.

Don't get me wrong it's a must watch but I think stylistically the other matchups make for better fights.

Anyone who wouldn't want to see him fight Valero.........that I just don't get

To say this fight would produce fireworks would be an understatement, it could well produce a nuclear explosion worthy of Armageddon!

That's Hagler Hearns at 130 lbs, trust me if/when that fight happens I'll have a box of kleenex next to me and some screen wipes to mop up my mess afterwards

I really hope we see that fight in the future.

Onto the others, I'd actually really enjoy a fight with him and David Diaz. Sure Diaz is no great champion and maybe he didn't deserve to win against Morales but he's still a come forward slugger who never stops punching and again we know we'd get an action packed fight. Plus Diaz holds a belt and it's been a while since Pacquiao has won one and this would be a good pickup, although I readily admit he still has unfinished business at 130 lbs.

Now Guzman is one of my favourite fighters to watch hence why I'd love to see these two fight, again a great style matchup and I think a pick'em fight. This could probably take place at either 130 or 135 as Guzman like Pacquiao has no problem moving up the weights.

Now finally we come to Marquez. Yes I know this is the most important and yes I know this is the fight that needs to happen but honestly I feel if this fight takes place Marquez already mentally has the beating of Pacquiao.

I see him controlling and restraining him for most of the fight and winning a relatively comfortable decision, a good fight no doubt, much like Pacquaio Morales 1 but not the potential blood bath that a Valero fight brings and not a potential 12 round sluggers brawl that we would see with Diaz and Guzman.

Furthermore if Pacquaio does lose to Marquez then what happens then? Maybe the other big fights would go to Marquez and not Pacquiao, I'm speculating here of course.

My ideal scenario would be Pacquiao fighting Marquez first, winning and setting up a fight with Valero before moving up........

But if he loses to Marquez it may well derail his career as he already has more than enough other career opportunities to choose from.

The Marquez fight makes me fear for Pacquiao's fight future in all honesty.
