I really like Gomez he is very exciting fighter i wish him the best.

See...now I'm just the opposite.

I like Mora (not as a person) in the ring. He's got game & he can put his punches together...but he needs to be humbled.

He got 1million dollars and a fake title for beating 4 journeymen(i really hesitate to put this slash but i suppose it is necessary)/fringe "contenders" . There's people in legit title matches against legit opposition that don't make that much. How can you be down to earth after that?

Who said I wanted him to be down to earth? I know plenty of people with money that aren't assholes. I just think that a loss would bring him "down to earth" in terms of his attitude inside the ring...he can be a total douche bag outside of the ring once he get's his a** handed to him...if it changes him inside the ring & brings him closer to focus...I'll be just fine with that.

What attitude? Post a vid or a quote from him showing us all what an arrogant asshole he is?

He's no different from any fighter, actually much nicer than most. He gave Manfredo massive props when he fought Scott Pemberton at which he was ringside saying that Manfredo fought like King Kong that night. Contrast that with Peter Mafrendo who guest commentated on ESPN when Mora fought Regan and Manfredo just kept putting Sergio down.

But like I say, if you think he's arrogant or needs humbling post a vid of him at his arrogant worst

There are no videos of Sergio talking shiet. Those that have gotten to know me, know I appreciate Sergio.
Anyone who hates Sergio was a fan of some other Contender on the show. That's the truth nothing more and nothing less. What is so funny is that I think El Gamo has never even seen the Contender and he does not like Sergio Mora. (How can you not like some one you don't even know anything about?) Sergio is nothing like Malignaggi in the rude, big mouth dept. Sergio has always tried to be respectful and the only time he might talk shiet is when some one talks shiet to him first. That Manfredo Sr incindent in the corner was Manfredo Sr and Cousin Robbie's fault. They kept talking shiet to Sergio while they were in the corner calling Sergio a punk etc. And Sergio just told them watch this! And he laid the smack down on Manfredo Jr.
I repeat, any one who hates Mora, hates him because he beat Manfredo Jr. 3 times. If you hate Mora, you are a Manfredo fan. Cut and dry plain and simple!... or unless you are just a hater with out any foundation. Sort of odd people who don't know him, don't like him.? Sounds like closet Contender fans to me.

Sergio was smart not fighting Jermain. I hate to say it but no one can get a win over Jermain unless you knock him out. The judges all had Jermain Taylor ahead on their score cards vs Pavlik. I had the fight very close and if anything, I had Pavlik up by one.

Manfredo might get credit for going all the way to Wales to face Calzaghe but that is all he did. (Where is the honor in this? Did not deserve this title shot niether) Notice I said face because he never faught. Manfredo threw about 15 punches in totality in the entire 3 rounds. That was not a fight. He did not go to win. He just went to try and survive and then later just be able to say that he was in the ring with a great fighter such as Calzaghe. I hate Manfredo and his fans. Manfredo Jr is a bigger hypocrite and even a bigger hater than I am. So are his fans. Manfredo is a nasty yuk mouth yellow tooth islander

I'm not against Manfredo though, I do like the kid, he's a tryer you know, fight anyone anywhere kind of fighter. Plus he's a quiet goofy kid with a gorgeous little girl and a cute wife whose his rock. I think it's easier to relate to Manfredo as he's the classic boy next door. I also think that as a result of that he was given preference on the original show and certainly afterwards by the Contender people who clearly recognised that along with Alfonso Gomez he is the most marketable of all the Contenders.

On that point has it suprised people how much they have tried their best to just act as if the second series never existed?

In this third series Mora is next to Leonard at virtually every fight, both he, Alfonso and Peter have made guest appearances on the show, as they did on the second series but the 2nd round fighters have just been treated as if they don't exist!

Only Forbes has been seen, to promote his fight with Bojado, Grady Brewer seems to have done a Lord Lucan a disappeared off the face of the earth!

I get the feeling that the Contender people themselves feel (probably along with many fans) that the first series is the ONLY real Contender series and always will be.

All subsequent series have been and doubtless will be nothing more than spin offs, like Angel was to Buffy or Joey was to Friends.
