Hopkins vs Powell for the USBA title was faster than the Frank fight if I aint mistaken.

Hopkins stopped him in 19 or 20 seconds I think. That was during his Terror days when he was stopping a shitload of 'em in the first or second rounds. I believe that it was 20 seconds.

That should be listed on boxrec as the first...I would think. Where do you go on there to find things like that? I've never seen them have a section for fastest knockouts.

Found it out that it was Powell that Hopkins blazed out...but it was in 21 seconds. That's still fast as fwock & it was for Hopkins shot at his first title.

    INSANE!!!

Yeah...he was pretty vicious. All of his early fights were exciting as fwock & if you followed Hopkins career the length of it...he's not the boring fighter that everyone rips him for being.

The Trinidad fight & the Joppy fight were two of is best as far as tactically goes...when you look for the ones that are brutal beat downs...you have to give that to the Lipsey, 1st Allen, & John David Jackson fights.

Also the Brown fight was crazy. He straight up fwocked that boy up!!! He just dug into everyone with 3-4 punch combos & topped it off with either an upper or a left hook & they went out cold.

You should really dig to see his early fights...he was masterful.

He was dead on the money back then.
HuH Must have missed that. As a "nickname" Or the Promoters and Interviewers he dealt with Lol?
It was the moniker he used prior to the Executioner.

I've got every Hopkins fight except the very first loss which was his first career fight 15lbs out of his limit. Have NEVER been able to find it & I have bout a shitload of career sets to get it & never have found it.

Yep. He did indeed wear them down tactically & break them apart.

The Joppy fight was just one of his better beat downs. He bet & lost $100.000 dollars on himself to TKO Joppy in that fight. He later stated that it was the best $100,000 that he had ever spent & that he bet if you asked Joppy he wouldv'e paid that much to get out of that ass whoopin.

Hopkins & his mouth are a trip...funny thing is that he has the wills & skills to back it up.

That is one old man that I would not fwock with.

Even though I've never been a fan, Hopkins is a beast. Has all the components, and he fights with his head. Just feel like he was dirty at times, more in the second half of his career. But hey, do what you half to right.

for the vid. Had actually never seen that one.
