I think that this issue isn't really being looked at in the right way, because as I read it, it is McCline's most recent drug tests that have come back clean, but he was allegedly supplied with the steroids in 05-06. The point is, it is easier to maintain muscle mass than it is to build it, and it seems to me that what is being suggested is that he used the steroids to build the muscle mass he has since maintained.
