Judah reguardless of poular belief is still too much for him....He has only lost to world class guys with the exception of Baldo and IMO thats because Judah took him light....

Quintana would be a good fight...If he won it would help him break the top 10 if he lost it would be no shame and let us know exactly where he needs to improve befor going in with the world beaters
I disagree with you about Forbes he's by far the most respected and credible of all the Contenders from any series. is loss to DHop was hands down the most fraudlent decision of the year and he showed his performance was no fluke by beating former super hot prospect Bojado a couple weeks ago.

Forbes is still a threat now. In fact if he fights at junior welter I'd say he has a very real chance of winning a title. I'd fancy him to school Ricardo Torres, Gavin Rees won't be holding that title for long regardless of who he fights.

I don't want Gomez to fight Forbes because I like them both and don't want to see either of them derailed, however I'd say Steve Forbes is one of the top 5 or 6 junior welterweights out there right now and another title is certainly not beyond him.

I'm really suprised you'd say he's not highly regarded. He's been an 'opponent' twice on HBO now, and caused big stirs by winning one fight and basically handing the other guy his a** in the other only to be robbed by the judges.

He's on a roll.
I agree with the fact Forbes would educate Torres fact is right now Gomez is on a roll with breaking that Contender image...To fight another guy from the show one that was a world champion would damage him severly in the aspect of making him a break out fighter....I don't think Forbes belonged on the show in the first place IMO he was above that....When a guy who was once on top ends up doing something like that his credibility becomes shaky....Forbes has a few good fights left in him but for a guy coming up there is no gain right now unless the up and comer is a no name...Gomez is now a name trying to reach the next level
I agree in as much as its a bad fight for Gomez but I totally disagree that he's a bad fight for up and coming fighters. There is a reason he has been on two HBO cards fighting top prospects in DHop and Bojado and that is a win over him IS a big deal for these guys, as he's a former world champ who is now well known.

I imagine he'll continue to get thrown young prospects eager for his name on his record and he'll continue to do well. I'm fairly sure his next fight will be on a HBO televised undercard also probably against another decent prospect. I'd imagine a fight with Torres, Holt, Harris, M'Baye or even Malignaggi could all be on the horizon for him and he's got a great chance against any of them.

I think I worded all that wrong...Trying to type and talk on phone same time....I was more or less trying to say he is a bad fight for a guy in Gomez situation....Gomez is just a name or two away from being in the legit mix or should I say considered a legit threat.....It is fights against some of the younger guys in the same situation he needs to fight...
