I was 25 during 94 and remember the hollow sad feeling. It was like being dumped by your bird a week before a group holiday. Then all your mates are there with their birds and you're stuck at home.

Still, I was cheering on the Paddies during that tournament and their captain was a Londoner named Taansend so at least I had something.

Euro 2008 may not have ANY of the five countries from the British Isles and that would be fucking tragic.
