And who did Tszyu beat at 140 that showed he could deal with Mayweather's speed ??
Well ICB Tszyu did anihilate Zabs speed with 1 punch.
I'm not saying Tszyu would have beaten PBF. We really wont ever know we can only speculate.
But to answer your question about speed then I think you would agree Zabs speed was equal and possibly slightly faster then PBFs.

Zab's defense is nowhere near as good as Mayweather's plus his technical skills are nowhere near as good plus he was caught and wobbled all over the ring from a slow Baldomir so i don't think he is that great at avoiding a punch like Mayweather is.

My man read your question again.
You asked 1 thing now you brought up something else.
    Your question was:
"And who did Tszyu beat at 140 that showed he could deal with Mayweather's speed ??"

    I answered:
"But to answer your question about speed then I think you would agree Zabs speed was equal and possibly slightly faster then PBFs."

Now in regards to your question about speed, did I answer it?

Im not having a go at your posts you did indeed answer what i asked and handspeed wise he is for certain up there but defense wise he is pretty poor and thats why he was caught but Mayweather has amazing defense its so hard to catch him with the one shot you have to put your punches together and i doubt Mayweather would be caught with one big shot like Judah was.

    I know your not.
But you gotta see how you asked about speed then I answered it and in your reply you started talking about defense, skill and opponents.
    When that wasn't your question.
I just answered your question cause I think Zabs the answer.
As far as defense I don't think Tszyu faced anyone with as good of a defense as PBF.
Skills forget it not even a close.

Anyway my point here in this thread is Tszyu should just stay put and wait for that letter from Canastota.

We have been hearing this talk for 2 years.

    Frankly its getting tiring.

Its always the same, i need to know if my wife is happy with it..... i need to find the hunger.

He has been saying that line for yonks and it's getting long in the tooth.

Im not a hater - Kostya is the very best at 140 in his prime for me.

Thanks for contributing clanger. Have your first CC on me, and if I may take CUTEMEMICK'S job - Welcome to the forum, the best boxing forum in the net.

I hear you on what you say and wonder if it's just a marketing strategy. however as some others have mentioned a lot of former greats talk about fighting after it's over. It seems natural to me. It feels great to do well in a sparring session so i can't imagine what the feeling would be like to win a green belt in front of many thousands of people against a great opponent. There is no way that could be duplicated in any other way and I think it would be a hard not to want to feel that again. Maybe thats what he is after..... I dunno. But as cutmemick says he has a great legacy at 140 and thats how it should stay so i hope he doesn't come back so we all remember it that way.

Reps for a good thread. I love Tszyu. His an awesome fighter. I don't need to see him to return to the king for him to be good. I reckon he should either become a fulltime trainer or doing something on the management side of things.

I sometimes wonder if Tszyu gets the credit he deserves on this forum, he was a world champion in his division for nearly ten years and undisputed at 140lb for the last 4 years of his career.
He didn't get the mega fights in the 90's due to fighters avoiding him like the plague, DLH got out of 140lb quick smart and Mosley moved up and missed it altogether. PBF fought Jesus Chavez at 130lb one week after Tszyu demolished Judah in 2001. Tszyu at 35 goes to the UK and gives up huge advantages to Hatton and loses well past his best IMO. He has nothing more to prove to anyone but i would like to know the excuses the above mentioned fighters have for not making a match with Tszyu when they all had a chance. He fought some great fighters and his record stands up well, he should not spoil it by coming back at 38 when he clearly will not be at his best.

Exactly. At 140...at his prime...KT would have been tough to beat for anyone...Floyd included.
