Exactly!! That behavior will usually result in a much shortened career. Here is hoping the Taylor fight taught him a lesson. If he smartens up, he has the natural skillset that could eventually be dominating at 168 and 175 also. He is tall with a long reach, so the face first method is not necessary.
Agreed on the fact that it will result in a short career...that & the fact that you caught it during the Taylor fight...most people didn't. What's odd is that it happened during the 6 shots that dropped him in the second. Taylor had hit Kelly twice already & stunned him & Pavlik was still talkin & sticking him chin out. Maybe it was shock...maybe not...but I hope to hell that he's learned lesson...but I doubt it.

Not for me...it's nerve racking material for me...why risk it? is what I always think.
He has to know in his heart how close he was to losing. If he will not try to adjust himself, maybe his dad and trainer can pound it into him. Lets hope he does adjust, as he is a refreshing new face to have around. A good ambassador for the sport. Humble and exciting fighter.
