I disagree. It's just a different kind of boxing match. Plenty of southpaws are pure boxers. If Spinks was orthodox, with his skill set, he could give still Mayweather problems, though I'll repeat, Floyd would win any day.
LOL,Taeth, just when I think you're starting to make some cool threads and posts and you come out with "Fight a southpaw isn't a pure boxing match"?! What the hell is that man! There are few purer boxers than Spinks and Paulie!

I wasn't going to mention it but since El G brought it up....WTF is fight a southpaw not pure boxing match mean anyway?.....because the guy is lefty he cant be considered a pure boxer?...or because they are opposite stances the fight between the two can not be pure boxing because they do not stand the same?....

I am just curious
Ditto DK,I want to know what Taeth was thinking too!
He was saying that when Mayweather(specifically) fights a southpaw, it isn't likely to be a pure boxing or chess match because Floyd is forced to become the agressor against lefty's.. Not sure I totally agree but then that was entirely the case against Judah and I can't even think of other lefty's Floyd has fought so maybe it's good logic. either way he wasn't saying southpaws in general can't be pure boxers, just that Floyd won't be able to box conventionally against them.
