To be an amateur boxing ref Go to usaboxing.org or call them and ask where and when the clinics are They have boxing clinics all the time where you go to a designated place in your state, youll take a 4 hour or so course then take a level 1 test. This test is easy. then youre a level 1 official. There are three levels in the us. You would have to start in local shows. Its a hard thing to get good at but if your dedicated youll get better and better. You basically move up the latter as you improve. Hope this helps.
