Default Joe Calzaghe - Respect of Beyer or An American?

I seriously would like Joe to take on Marcus Beyer.

Beyer can be dangerous, but Joe In my opinion wouldnt have to many problems.

He would also be then 1 Belt away from being the Undisputed Champion of Super-Midleweight.

Only problem is Joe seems to want a American, to raise his profile.

To me I see no point, Joe has never been interested in promoting himself to the American contingent, and has always been happy fighting his fight, taking the money and carrying his belt.

    So why change?

Beyer, hopefully would come here, (if not do it in America?!) I wouldnt advise him to go to Germany, plus if they offered Beyer enough, which they easily could with the match being at the Millenium Stadium, I cant see why he would refuse.

What better than to have a fight in one of the greatest stadiums in the world, for alot of money for a massive World Title unification bout.

It makes sense to me, and seeing as he cant find the correct opponent across the pond, Beyer seems ideal?

I'd love to see Calzaghe Beyer or Calzaghe Kessler...but at press time...Beyer & Kessler priced themselves out of the picture...but then again...their is news that Kessler is trying to price himself back in to the picture.

A win by either of the three opponants equals one closer step towards unification...but I'd lean towards Joe as the unifiying champion.

    We shall see.

Theres surely got to be money there, The Millenium Stadium would sell massively, and they could pack it out no problem!

    Beyer running scared of Joe!

i think beyer and kessler dont want too much of calzaghe....very sensible at this point for them, but frustrating to those who want to see fights that matter...

the performance against lacy has been a blessing and a curse....it showed the world what an awesome looking fighter calzaghe can be and yet on the other hand its scared off practically all relatively decent opposition....

old joe cant seem to get a fight against anyone good at the moment!!

Kessler could be a good challenge for Calzaghe, a very good challenge, he's tall, powerfull and can box.

Beyer is by far too much weak for calzaghe, it's a complete mismatch.

Kessler has tried over and over again to get a fight with Lacy, Calzaghe (also after the Lacy beating) and Beyer but it seems that no one is interested in facing Kessler. Of course the Lacy beating has no influence in Kessler’s desire to fight Calzaghe. Kessler is not stupid and he knows that the fight was more an evidence that Lacy was extremely overrated than Joe being supernatural. Kessler was fully aware of Calzaghe’s boxing skills before he gave Lacy a lesson.

Kessler is without doubt the champ of SMW, who is most willing to travel to fight the other two champs and his demands are also much lower than the dittos of Beyer and Calzaghe. Kessler's biggest problem is his low risk/award ration. He is not famous enough yet to generate the very big money fights.

I think Calzaghe or Kessler would wreck Beyer. Beyer seems to be a big deal in Germany and i can't figure it. His fights are like watching paint dry. He's a safety first southpaw that does't punch hard. Kessler Calzaghe's the fight I'd really like to see at super middle. Lacy might have looked all bulked up but Kessler's huge for 168 and he can box. I'd back Joe but would definitely pay to see that fight

    It's because he's German...ofcourse...but it's also that Beyer's a pretty good boxer.

Personally...I think Beyer's got damned fine skills...but he just lacks the punch & the ability to take a hard shot.

Kessler would stop him as would Calzaghe & Lacy.

Lacy's not finished yet...& honestly...a fight that I would love to see for it's competitive nature would be Kessler Lacy...because in the end...Calzaghe would outbox Kessler & I'd rather see Joe move up to 175 instead of that happening.

Punch for punch power for power Kessler & Lacy are neck in neck...the question this would boil down to between the two of them is who can take the licks.

Lacy's got a hell of a beard & the will to back it up.

Lacy Kessler would make for a great night in front of the telee.
