Exactly Starr; a victory on a cut caused by a punch always has been a TKO. Hell before 1988 a victory on a cut by any means, fair or foul went down as a TKO win, and everyone just accepted it.

Imagine Minter/Hagler went down as a technical draw three? The dominant Middleweight of the 80s, possibly would have retired, never being a World Champ....
