Did you miss the fact that I stated that this was a direct Hopkins quote?

Look...I'm a fan of Hopkins through & through...but what the man says...he means & he has haggled his way out of two Calzaghe fights. The first one was being negotiated through Don King whom Hopkins fought for.

The later was a Hopkins interview...where he stated (& I repeat) that "Calzaghe is a great fighter but it would be a step backwards for me right now. It's just not a big enough fight right now and I need a big fight to get motivated. A fight against Maskaev is exactly the type of fight I need."

He said it...so how is that Warren & Calzaghe propaganda? It's not...it's what Hopkins said when they made him an offer. He wanted Maskaev & turned it down...a second time...now he needs Joe because he can't get a fight at heavy & he's also made noise that he owes Joe for breaking his defense record.
