In truth I was having a hard time finding some good lower weight class fights and like you said it is hard to follow some since most takes place over in asia and are not televised often enough unless they are really big names EG Calderon.
Female boxers might really help here. Also, It looks like December will more fertile for the lower weight classes. Calderon for starters...
