Remember,Margarito is probably the most stationary target you can get,yet Williams landed a meagre 23% of his punches? That's poor,it's just that Tony could not counter.

PW performance that night was hardly poor..ok you make reference to him landing 23% of his punches as being poor but he threw over a 1000 Don't you see his perfectly executed plan here? It was to throw so many punches (regardless wether they all landed or hurt him) and stay so busy that Margarito wouldn't even have a chance to bang..The plan obviously wasn't to hit him with big punches but just to use volume so that Tony couldn't get going and it worked like a charm. It was the oppositte of poor.

There was nothing poor about Paul Williams on that night & Margarito didn't lose the fight...he got beaten...if that makes sense. I don't give a frog's fat floppin a** if he underestimated or refused to respect Williams...Williams taught him respect that night...so now he knows.

William's jab & the fact that he wings in his combos directly off of the jab, the fact that he's so long & tall, the fact that he's hard to hit flush...all of that is going to cause fits for anyone.

Wack'o I'm in agreement on a clean loss and clean win for Williams but by no means was It so one sided that He had the affordability of "Teaching" Margarito Anything.He wasn't exactly left in a corner Licking his wounds.
Overwhelmed with volume and workrate yes and he has himself to blame(?) ...as well as Williams for being top notch and up for All 12 that night because Margarito surly was not.
Not losing and being beaten makes sense.Its not as if Losing is an option...Its the other man that "takes" the victory...If that makes sense
And In a hopeful rematch it will be sweeter when Margarito Takes it back

The only thing that Williams taught Marg was that he should have taken more interest in fighting back & that he should have respected him instead of writing him off.

I aint a Margarito fan...nor am I really a Williams fan...while I do like Williams...I just don't know that he's the total package...does that make any sense?

I am one of these humans that has always thought Margarito was not what he has been marketed as...the most feared fighter in the division.

For some reason...I think that if Williams can maintain minimal success...he will be feared.

Not sure why I think that...maybe it's the height, reach, & power...but he just seems so hard to figure.
