I must have missed it. Please explain. Looked like he hit him on the chin with an akward punch. What was dirty?Originally Posted by Trainer Monkey

LMAO ,I can hear the comintaters now."He has a really good Hungry hungry hippo punch" LOLOriginally Posted by BoomBoom
Believe me or not I have, I heard it crunch in a sparring session, every time I got hit there after it took the wind out of me but I could still stand and fight backOriginally Posted by AdamGB
De La Hoya may have been hurt there but it wouldnt have had the effect that he made out, his stupid punching of the canvas! If he was that bothered aboutgetting dropped by a body shot, he must have wanted to win, if he wanted to win so bad why didnt he attempt to get up and try to fiddle his way throught he round rather than waste time with the amature dramatics.
He was happy with what hed done and hed earnt some cash, Ricky should take a fight with him, he acts like a bitch when cought to the stomach, maybe Ricky can go 2 up on Mayweather, stop Floyd then make Oscar throw more punches at the canvas than him
He lands it behind his ear,but thats not the dirtiest part,he turns his hand over in to what is known as a hammer blowOriginally Posted by luvfightgame
Behind the ear is illegal, but it happens, throwing a hammer blow,is no accident
Thanks for the explanation. I didn't know that. Interesting...c.c.Originally Posted by Trainer Monkey
Being from where Im from, a little dirtieness is par for the course, but blatant allways makes me laugh I cant help myself,I allways chuckle when Im watching the one Liston fight when he does one of the most blatant eye gouges Ive ever seenOriginally Posted by luvfightgame
Im sure for the combatant their against its no laughing matter, but the brazeness of moments like that, well I cant help myself,I start laughing
To additionally explain,Rourke hit him where theres no padding on the glove,it was more or less bone on occipital bone. And thats one of the turn your lights out spots on your head
cc back
I see why he quit. He wasn't very well coordinated. Will Smith looked better in Ali.
Oops
Danza: Hey Angerlaaaaa watch me hit this guy 3 times when he's down. Mooooonnnnnnaaaaaa! Johnaaaathaaaan! He showed him "Who's the Boss".
LOL. you're joking right? How you gonna compare getting hit in a sparring session to getting hit in a real professional fight with world class fighters?Originally Posted by ross

CC bro, I didn't notice it on the first viewing, it just looked like a slap and the other guy was rolling around a bit, but looking again you're bang on. And you have sharper eyes than me.Originally Posted by Trainer Monkey

Fact is Rourke was a dreadful fighter here are has opponants records -
0-4
0-2
11-37-4
17-27-2
0-3
1-4
0-0
11-3-2
he drew with the second and the last if i remember rightly. he was nothing more than a freak show as he was famous.
Tony Danza could fight a bit , if compared Danza was more talented than Rouke.
Yeah, I agree with the posters generally. Rourke was not very talented, and he was too old to be credible by the time he did have his bouts. He only got coverage because he was a famous film star.
That said, though, he did get in the ring and have a go, and I never ever denigrate the courage of people who do that - no matter who they are.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Thats why he lunges for the hammer blow,he sees the guys got his head turned a little so he's got a clear shot at itOriginally Posted by superheavyrhun
Very dirty, but it goes along way to explain those first round knockouts he had.
