Thank you, I'm studing it because I enjoy it, not becuase of the proliferation of jobs for arts students - obviously. Aside from doing archaeological field-work, I'd really like to end up working in a museum at some point (particularily a historical or war museum). But I'll probably just end up pumping gas for all the people who were smart enough to get useful degrees at university .

I'm doing my masters in medieval history at the moment (part time distance learning) and that's got an archaeological module in it, and like you I'm pretty much certain that it probably won't get me a fantastic job, or land me the beautiful women....but if only....
You never know, Professors get paid quite well. And think about all the young female students you'll be able to impress. Sometimes girls do bad things in exchange for good grades
