Today was snowing and absolutely freezing in Osaka.
I had a bit of a tight chest and felt a bit of cold coming on but decided to go to the gym at 11 am.
3 rounds skipping. I couldnt do more than 30 seconds without tripping. I think my body was trying to tell me something.
Spent 2 rounds working on my footwork moving around the ring.
2 rounds shadow boxing.
1 round heavybag. Started to feel knackered
4 rounds on the mitts. QUite a leisurely pace. MY trainer had me working on throwing combinations to get out of the corner. He knew I was sick so kept it at a slow pace.
4 rounds heavybag. By now my chest was heaving and i was like an asthmatic pit pony.
2 rounds double end bag. Felt knackered, praacticing double jabs and straight rights and slipping punches, very slowly.
Felt terrible afterwards. I should have listened to my body and stayed in bed. I did myself no good by going to the gym today!!!
Back to the gym today after a massive bout of flu.
Its still affecting my asthma a bit.

2 rounds on the mitts, doing hook and uppercut combinations.
3.5 rounds on the double end bag
1.5 rounds skipping
2 round shadow boxing, drilling the combinations I learned before.
My trainer has been praising my work on the mitts lately, which is nice. My combinations are more fluid and my balance has improved, apparently.
Still had some breathing problems, hopefully I will be 100% tomorrow or the day after.

No skipping today, I can feel my shin splints coming on and my legs were a bit sore when I was on my toes today.

No skipping today, there is still a bit of a twinge in my shins,
Had a different trainer work me on the mitts. Preferred it with him because my usual trainer holds the mitts in a weird position and sometimes its hard to catch the mitt sweetly.
21st march 08.
Been back in England for 3 weeks and put on a ton of weight due to binge drinking and eating. So I am now 75kg and my stamina will be a bit reduced.

2 rounds on the heavybag giving it a proper pounding.
I didnt feel as unfit as expected.
I also bought one of those exercise balls for sit ups and will use that a few times per day. I also bought a top notch pair of running shoes for a bit of road work, although they feel a bit small. Went for a run at midnight, dont know how far but it took twenty minutes.
Ive also decided that my crap running trainers that I leave in the gym might be the reason for my shin splints from skipping so i will buy another good pair to use at the gym.
22nd March
2 rounds skipping. Shin Splints playing up again

4 rounds on the mitts. There was a new trainer in the gym today, and the main trainers asked me to go on the mitts with him cos they wanted to have a look at him. I quite liked his mitt style, he was moving around the ring at fast pace, having me cut off the ring and throwing jabs and one twos.
Did two rounds with him and then 2 rounds with my usual trainer. He had me drilling the same 10 punch combination over 2 rounds. i could barely lift my arms by the end and was pretty close to throwing up. God knows how many punches I throw when he works me on the mitts.

The speedball hasnt reappeared for a while.
No running tonight due to my legs being sore and I am going on a massive drinking session.
