    WTF? Split Decision for Eddie.
Flippin heck, from all of the commentary that you guys were throwing up on this one, it looked to be an absolutely nailed on wide decision...maybe the judges were told to try and make it appear tight so that if one drops out injured, the other can step in after a "narrow defeat". I reckon Povetkin is the best of this bunch, but Klitshko is still a distance better. Least it won't be him v Brock again.

Anyhow, I'm gonna call it a night.

Now those scorecards are bad - a card for Brock?!?!?

    I'm at a loss.

    115-113 FOR BROCK!!!

    That is just fucken ridiculous...
    thats how i had it..

it was a close match.. Now why Brock fought that last round like he did I have no clue? when a fighter does this, it makes shit impression on the judges. . a fighter should keep fighting hard till the final bell of last round. never run the 4 corners defense , it is no good. Then on the other hand I was not that impressed with Chambers either . Eddie sat there and let Brock hit him all night long , making cute faces after getting hit a dozen times don't win rounds. over all I thought Brock won by a narrow margin. Sheer punch output was better then Chambers who would counter only on occasion., usually with only 1 or 2 punches , then it was back to the turtle defense, and making cute faces. I guess you could say Chambers was pressing? However it was not with intent ( being first)
Chambers pressed from a shell position. that’s no good. I guess the match was what it was Ive seen worse. ..I predict Alexander will beat Chambers even if goes the full stretch.

CC for the RBR Mick and Legion. So,what's the lowdown on Chambers? A contender or pretender? Who wins:him or Povetkin?

The votings closed but i think Cambers UD is likely. Ive only seen Cambers against Derek Rossy but it struck me how cool he was on the ropes. Love that in a fighter.

Brock isn't sharp enough for me. Plus I think he'll possess a lack of ideas.

While I see your points LG, I think being that Brock was almost slapping all of his punches and just winging them. Their was nothing there behind his punches only here and there did he put power behind his punches. While Eddie did stand there and was more defensive I did think he was also making Brock miss. Eddie countered well and his punches had a lot more power behind them, he also landed the cleaner punches.
I will say this IF he fights this way vs. Povetkin, then Povetkin will eat him alive Povetkin is young and stays busy in the ring.

    Thanks Gamo.
Eddie fought a little to calm for my likings almost like he felt he didn't really need to press forward. Hes gonna need a lot more then that to beat Povetkin. As of right now I say Povetkin wins.

I think the SD was right on. Eddie Chambers is one lazy somebody. I'm pretty sure I hate him for that.

I just finished watching a few matches on this Alexander Polvtken including his recent match vs Byrd , I like Sasha's work rate, his combonation punching. a good looking kid, seems to have his head on, a good spirit.. i wish him and his team all the best.

Even though he can be frustrating as hell cause he doesn't throw enough punches, there's something I like about Chambers, he's just so relaxed, so comfortable, very nice quick accurate punches. I thought the scoring was off, Brock was just listless, he threw some of the most weak, ineffective, almost sluggish combinations I've ever seen.

I think he just gave up at the end, knew he was beaten and was just exhausted. He can't possibly have thought that he was up in the fight so comfortably that he could just give away a round. You could tell he didn't think that after the end of the fight, he kind of made a weak protest but he knew wasn't clearly winning or anything.

Chambers has got to open up more if he wants to beat Povetkin.

And Lopez has awful punching technique, a shame considering he's got some natural gifts, pretty quick actually.

id like to know the punch stats on that match ? I hear what your saying , but Brock had to have thrown 3 punch to every 1 punch chambers throw , if not even by a wider margin.?

my observation is that Chambers can be beat by a fighter who has patience. simply make him be first. let him open up and then cash him out. Eddie keeps his trunks high to the tit. and then keeps the shell defense and just waits.. I say fuk him for that.. wait with him.. and counter his B.S. or throw soft just(touch) and get ready to fire off his counter.. It is imperative you punch with him as best you can and make it count ! blow your load while he is in the shell, you find yourself off position and then he can easily hit you making himself look sharp ( its called bullshitting) . He has the style to make you look ugly, mirror it back at him, make him look ugly. I call it the Medusa approach . To his credit he does have a fast hand, with a bit more mustard on it then given credit for.

I don't doubt that Brock landed more, I'm sure he did, but they were such weak, sluggish punches, especially after the first or second round. Honestly I thought he was gonna win after the first round, but he just seemed weak as hell as the fight went on.
