Mayweather is NOT,I repeat NOT ant ATG at WW nor is he anywhere near being so. Even a Hatton win at 147 does not solidify him as an ATG WW. Why? Find me any top 10 rankings of the best WW with Hatton in it. I'm not questioning it's a great fight but it doesn't make Floyd ATG at WW.

Mayweather started at 130. If they met at 147, you have to go with Leonard because he was naturally bigger.

It's the same thing when people talk about Leonard vs. Whitaker. You can make a strong argument that Whitaker was better PFP, but you'd have to go with Leonard in a head-to-head fight at 147, since Whitaker was a natural lightweight, whereas Leonard was a natural welterweight.
I agree with this and it bothers me when Mayweather is compared with great welters. PBF is no doubt a great fighter and by the end of his career might have a claim for top ten ATG. But I do not see him beating any of the top welterweights in their prime. Leonard, Hearns, Robinson, Armstrong, Napoles, Basilio, Trinidad, Gavilianamong others. All those guys, beat him at 147.

I would also say that prime DLH and prime Mosley would beat him at that weight as well.
Um he would definitely beat Trinidad. Armstrong had the feather weight championship when he had the welterweight cahmpionship so I can't see him beating Mayweather. IMO Mayweather has a close fight with either Robinson or Leonard.
    At welter
RObinson would assasinate them at welter!

OH without question....A friend of my dads had some old old Robinson fights at WW on reel film....I have his 1st Tommy Bell bout, Angott and O'neill Bell.....To see him in action was truly amazing....Even the second Tommy Bell bout when Ray was put don was amazing.....Floyd IMO could not keep the constant pace...this was no chess match in these fights....they fought!! and fought HARD with skill.....it is really one of those things you have to see
Daxx,is there ANYWAY YOU COULD GET THESE VIDOES UP? ILL PAY YOU! ANYTHING!!! I want to see SRR: WW!!! I heard he was the perfect fighting machine there. Could do everything. Obviously the legend may have been exagerrated but he must have been good to have the record he had at WW!

Hell mate the guy is long passed away....Have not seen or heard from him or his family in like 15years...Wish I could I would of by now found a way to get them put on disc and off the reel.....My Dad used to have some Dempsey fights on reel as well...we would go in the basement with the old projector every now and then and watch them against the wall...When my Dad remarried his wife was a bit of a dip shit and one day while cleaning out the basement she threw the box of them away in the garbage.....Pop didn't speak to her for a month I swear....

Those things would probable be worth a tidy sum if still around

Floyd Mayweather just isn't in the same league as Sugar Ray Leonard or Sugar Ray Robinson and never will be. Mayweather has less power and speed than both and both were tougher than him.
I really can't see why anyone would pick Mayweather

At Welterweight Floyd only beat Sharmba Mitchell, Carlos Baldomir and Zab Judah not exactly the stuff of legends. Decent wins but only 3 fights at Welterweight.

Floyd to put it bluntly has No Chance!
