The reasons big American heavies do bad is because no one has ever trained one, the biggest we've had that was good is Riddick Bowe. The upright Euro style is the way to go with the taller guys. You don't want your tall fighter fighting short or leaning in, UPPERCUTS are a killer.
Also Grant, McCline, and every other American fighter over 6'5 either start out in some other sport (basketball/football) and don't get the amateur experience.
I think Chazz Witherspoon will hopefully be the exception to the rule
