I think Santa Cruz won it by 2 rounds.

Santa Cruz scored a knockdown in the first round (questionable, but the ref called it), won the 2nd and swept every round after he turned southpaw IMO.

One of the worst decisions I have seen in a long time. Decisions like this are ruining boxing for me. The fix was in on this one for sure. What a crock of shit.

I like Casa but the fight was robbery Cruz definetly deserved it terrible decision i did score it but after about 9 rounds i didn't even bother because it was obvisious who was winning and who won the fight.

Yeah that was bad. It was one of the ugliest fights I have seen to begin with, but Santa Cruz clearly won at least 8-9 rounds. The whole time I was thinking, "this guy beat Diego Corrales?"

I think the knockdown was fair and square. If you fall from a punch above the waist you are knocked down. I always that rule was right on.


Now Casamayor needs to give Kid Diamond a shot at revenge.

It was funny, the Australian feed had Wally Mathews and another guy commentating and it was clear they were told to nuthug Casamayor - even so far as arguing that the first round was close enough to be 10-9 in spite of the knockdown. They kept that shit up for the first half of the fight until it became clear Casamayor was getting his ass kicked then they just called it like it was.

When the decision was announced, Matthews first words were "Oh no!"

THAT's how bad a fucking decision this was - two guys clearly in Casamayor's corner said it was a travesty.

Casamayor was awful, Santa Cruz faught out of his skin and was seriously robbed.

Casa won 4 rounds at best. Santa Cruz earned that victory. Cruz has been a real warrior and always comes to fight. This was his chance to show that hes nobodys opponent or stepping stone, and he did a damn good job of that. Sadly,Casamayor just showed up and still won.
