You know what impressed me most about Cotto is the fact he is improving...he is not just a come in and hope his power gets him through guy....he is learning that somtimes you need to back off a bit make sure you do not get over zelous....and he will keep getting better....IMO Cotto's future is going no where but up
I do not know about Cotto "improving." He's always had the ability to adjust in fights and that's what separated him from most up and comers who never have a plan b if one is necessary. Cotto has always had that jab, and when he abandons it (see Corley and Torres) he has problems. Cotto has always had the ability to box and "backed off a bit" against N'dou and Abdullaev. So maybe Cotto is "learning" to start everthing with the jab, if anything. The KO will come, but the jab will make it come.

IMO he is getting better....Even if it means knowing when to back off and when to work off the jab,,,it means he is using his head more and that will only help him in the future....It is good to see a guy with power like Cotto box more....How many times in the past have we seen decent boxers with power forget how to use the basics and rely on power only?......just to have it backfire
