Im not saying Tyson wasn't good on inside but if you actually watch his fights he doesn't throw many punches when he is head to head with his opponent and that allows his opponent's to tie him up on inside and like i said thats one of the reason's why Holyfield beat him i think he does his work better with a bit of distance.
I see what you saying,, he would bob and weave outside and then move in on an opening yes ! .. but the truth is distance was his greatest enemy, “ Lewis match” , the only punches a guy 5"11 can land are inside punches, its due to the mathematics of range and reach
