I think there are a few things that everyone does not understand about the way list like these are made.
The first I think some people already got right. These list are not made a day before the magazine comes out or even 2 weeks. It takes a month or two of deliberation before deciding who gets placed where. Also after the list are made it takes about another 3 weeks to print the issue...This is why most fights re-caped are ove a month old.
Second they do not judge by one last fight. It goes by a certain period of time.
EG- Just because a fighter beats another he does not take his place in the ratings if rated higher. That would be silly if it was done that way. They pick a timeframe from the date they start deciding who goes where. Last 3 fights or last year etc..... Lets say Kermit Cintron fought PBF tommorow and won. Cintron would not be the P4P fighter in the world....To use such a system would be inaccurate and take away accomplishments up until that point from the fighter higher ranked and erase any short comings the other fighter had until that point.
Someone mentioned David Haye belonging higher then 100. At the time rankings were compiled who had Haye really beaten? I don't think one other guy on the top 100. Mormeck was ranked 48 on the list. Because Haye beat him does that mean he deserves to be jumped ahead to 48 in front of RJJ, Paul Malinaggi, Sturm, Sam Peter, Wlad Klitschko etc...Four of those 5 are world title holders. Who have been beating better comp for longer amounts of time.
That would also push each man down a spot...Robbing them of a rightful place.....
It is looked upon as a timefram accomplishment not what have you done this week type thing
