I disagree with you slightly on point 5. Hopkins DOESN'T need Calzaghe. Hopkins DOESN'T even need to fight again. Would a match between Calzaghe-Hopkins be any bigger in America than Jones-Hopkins 2? I doubt it. If Jones beat Trinidad people will want that fight. Now, Hopkins chances of beating that impersonater that was once Roy Jones are far better than beating Calzahge.

Yeah, it was the two-faced-ness of Hopkins that got me in those quotes. I guess I can see your point a little about Jones-Hopkins 2, and it would bring in many casual fans who have drifted away from the sport over recent years but find the two names irresistible, but it would be more of a sideshow fight than serious competitive boxing. It's sort of like Masters tennis, where the legends come together to play each other, but as everyone is slower and older, the skills and fun are what shine through, which in my opinion is what Jones Jr v Trinidad is too.
Yep that's exactly what it is. Hopkins-Tarver, Hopkins-Winky, Jones-Tito all Pay-Per-View. As would Hopkins-Roy 2 be.
