Take credit for the Oscar win. He deserves it. Even take credit for the Judah win...he deserves it. But don't try to tell me that Mitchell, Corley, Brussles and Gatti mean anything other than killing time and setting himself up for a bigger fights.

You give him credit for Judah win then you also should give him credit for Baldomir win considering Baldomir was legit Welterweight champion and also beat Judah.

Brussles was the only name on that list that wasn't really a good name the other names like Corley were legit threat Corley was coming off just losing SD to Zab Judah plus before Judah fight he was WBO Light Welterweight champion and made 2 defence's before losing to Judah in close SD so your telling me Corley wasn't a threat or a name ??

And Gatti was on a nice little winning streak beating Ward x2, beating 32-0 Gianluca Branco for vacant WBC Lightwelterweight title and also KO 22-0 Leonard Dorin. Plus KO Jesse James Leija in 5 rounds.

I think you need to do a bit of research on these opponents you slate so much.

I did my research. None of that impresses me, not even a little, and the fact the Judah lost to Baldy works against Mayweather. Gatti beat Gianluca Branco and a totally shot Leija?? Please. All love and respect to Gatti, but the guy was a gatekeeper at best. Corley was legit threat? Listen to yourself, ICB. These guys are decent fighters, but there are several fighters out there right now who blow out any of those names, anytime. None of those victories were anything special at all. Don't point to inflacted records (Dorin, Branco) and shot fighters (Leija) to try and make Gatti more than he is. That's like trying to give Hatton credit for beating an undefeated Urango. Records don't mean crap if all you've fought is crap.

Ask yourself this, what would do/did Cotto and Hatton do to those four names (Gatti, Mitchell, Chop, and Brussels) Even add Judah and Baldy to the this list? Cotto beats them all, and probably Hatton, too. How about Tony? What would he do to those names? What about a Kostya? How does/did he fair against those names. They are fighters that great fighters are supposed to beat. It's like calling a kid a genius just because he can read one grade above level. We might know intuitively the kid is genius, but until he doesn't something special with the genius, it don't mean crap, and other than the Oscar fight, an maybe Judah, he hasn't done much special above 135. That list aint nothin special. Beating Hatton and Cotto at 147 will impress me, and I think he will do it.

Floyd's best work, I think, has yet to come, and it's a disservice to him overcredit him for beating fighters plenty of other guys could beat EASILY. Let him beat the TOP, then talk to me. You can't say Chop, Gatti, Mitchell, and Brussels were the top.
