The man...(actually be it Hopkins or any other world class fighter of that status)...is not afraid of taking a beating......

I have no idea why people say such things..."He is afraid to get beat up"...what is this 4th grade and an arguement between the new guy and class bully?.......

Has nothing to do with being afraid...it's politics nothing more nothing less....and for that matter it is politics on both sides of the pond....if either...and I stress the word...EITHER man really wanted the fight that badly they would have given in one way or the other by now...simple as that....

we can all say Hopkins is afraid or Calzaghe is afraid...though neither is true...it is plain out stubburness between both camps.........

At this stage in their careers it is about legecy...money means nothing to them at this time in their lives both are rich beyond needs and will never want for money......So the claims of one "Pricing themselves out"......means nothing because both men can afford to take the small end of the purse because in truth the winner will make out 5 times that in higher purses in the future

Does Hopkins need the money? NO.

Would Calzaghe be one the hardest fights of Hopkins career? YES.

Is Hopkins at a place NOW where he fancies a GUARANTEED hard fight. NO.


Calzaghe has been chasing after Hopkins for donkeys years. Hopkins has alwways recognised Calzaghe as a serious threat. It's not about being afraid. It's about being smart. He don't need Cazlaghe so why fight him?

When someone says a person will not take a fight because they don't fancy taking a beating hint's they are afraid to fight for that reason....

I should of said - Hopkins WONT fight Calzaghe because he knows it's a GUARANTEED hard fight. One that he KNOWS he starts underdog in. One that he doesn't really need. Especially if he doesn't want another LOSS on his record.

If Hopkins wanted it the fight would have happened 4 years ago.

If Hopkins wants it NOW the fight will happen (he cleary doesn't).

ALL that has come out of Cazlaghe's mouth for YEARS is "Hopkins" "Hopkins" "Hopkins"

Remember many were accusing Calzaghe of being SCARED of Kessler because he was saying he'd prefer a fight with Hopkins, Jones, Taylor - a big American before Kessler.
