You say that Floyd would have fought KT after Hatton, but why didn't he fight him BEFORE Hatton. Surely he had a better claim to challenge him as the undisputed LW king than Ricky did? Instead, he defended the LW belt against good, not great, fighters, then took the easy route though 140. It's so clear it's not even worth debating anymore.

Yes, Mayweather has fought plenty of threats and I give him credit for it - he fought plenty of threats at 135 and below, and he fought ODLH, a very legit threat. Hatton is a threat. For me to consider you a real threat, you need to have beaten a top fighter at some point. Oscar has beaten a few and Ricky beat KT. The other real threat out their is Cotto, because Cotto beat Mosley and KTFO Judah (something Floyd couldn't do).
