We all know that should have been a loss for G@yweather.

Let me guess, PBF was hurt right? Sure he was.

Look what happen win Leonard boxed Duran he made that bad a** look like a clown so why would PBF not do the same although i hope Hatton wins the fight but if PBF is going to box smart well he is going to box smart and win but i still hope he losses to tell you the truth i be praying for Hatton the Hitman and i wish him the best. But to beat PBF god is going to look down on Hatton and give him the performance of his life to win so lets hope he does.

I would love to see a war like Duran/Leonard 1., but... I have a very strong feeling
that Floyd will run like Leonard did in Duran/Leonard 2. (I love Ray Leonard but he ran like a biatch against Duran in the second fight)
If Floyd does nothing more than run for 12 rounds, this will show what a heartless coward Floyd is. It will also show us maybe how one dimensional Floyd also is. It's no secret that Hatton can be cut and bruised something easy, I just hope people don't confuse this with anything that Floyd can actually do. Hatton is begining to remind me of Gatti in the facial bruises and cut dept.

I hope Hatton and the preacher man have a plan b and c if Floyd decides to run for 12.

I know I am sort of hating on Floyd but hey, what else is new.

Remember this before you attack me verbally PBF fans. I have not attacked any of you. I am talking about the fight and fighters so don't confuse the two because when you attack me for dissing PBF, it makes it look as though PBF is doing some of you If you attack me, I will attack you back but don't run to Saddo or Wacko if you started it. People always start shiet with me and then they get their little feelings hurt because they made it personal and the shiet just got too deep. Stick to the topic with out insulting each other and all is well.
    Ahhhhhhhhhhh...just ignore him...run to Wacko.

Ewwwwwwwwwww...that sounded like a line that an old man with candy would use on a kiddie on a street corner, huh? :P

Mayweather is good at getting of his punches especially his right hand going backwards. Also how has Floyd ever shown he was one dimensional? He has foughten on the inside before(Ndou, Chavez for awhile), he has foughten comming forward(Corley, Mitchell, G. He has done everything against pretty good opposition. If he doesn't stand right there against Hatton why is he being a pussy? Because he is fighting the best style to face Hatton by moving and tiring him out? Before he hurt his hand against Baldomir he didn't run all that much, he didn't run very much against Oscar either so he has already shown he isn't a pussy. Even guys like Cotto have run like he did against Mosley for four or five rounds or against Judah early when he was hurt.
    Good points.

All but one...you asked "How can you say that this is anything similar to Duran Leonard I?"

    That's a simple answer.

    He's Danny FWOCKIN G.

Watch the fight again. One of thee most boring fights it was. Ray was not doing shiet but show boating and if you look at Duran, he was not even in this fight. He had no desire and the fact that he just said "I quit!" goes to show you he did not give a shiet about the fight. Yes the fight had it's moments and it was alright. Was Duran ever really hurt, cut, stunned or dropped in that rematch? No. No one knows or understands why he just quit but he did and he got paid and that was the end of that.

Read again. I said the fight will either be similar to Duran/Leonard 1 or Duran/Leonard 2. To boot...There are those who say Hatton is just going to quit. I never said these two fighters were the same. There is only one Floyd and only one Ricky. No two fighters are exactly the same but have some similarities here and there.

I guess we shall see what happens after the fight. I bet I am right about one of these comparisons.
Just remember me when the fight is over

Personally...I don't get anyone that thinks this things is coming off like the Gatti or Corrales fight...nor do I think that he quits.

One of two things is going to happen...Floyd will shine or Hatton will...& it'll be that simple...but shining & shutting out are two polar opposites.

Danny the bottom line is if Leonard moved Duran is fucked because he can not do anything about it and queit because he was going to lose and was sick of being taunted and laughed at as Leonard made him look like a fool if he would of boxed the first time Duran would of lost that to.

Ray did do so some boxing in the first fight. He was not always flat footed. Duran was still all over Ray. Duran was very motivated in the first fight. The second fight he was not even trying to chase Leonard around that much. He threw that fight in the worst way. Ray was not making Duran look silly to me. He was just show boating and running around the ring and doing his thing. Don't get me wrong, I was rooting for Leonard in both fights but the second fight sucked balls even if my favorite fighter Ray Leonard won. I guess we can blame Duran more than anything for not being in this fight and then just quiting and went to get his check before going home.

Punchstats mean nothing Spinks landed more punches than Holmes in 2nd fight yet people consider that one of the worse robberies of all time.

And Oscar De La Hoya outlanded Tito by a landslide in punchstats yet people consider that very close fight punchstats mean nothing.

On my card Mayweather won first 4 rounds clearly against Castillo Mayweather only lost by 1 round on my card and some rounds could of gone either way hardly a robbery.

I think Mayweather will come out and take the first 4 or 5 rounds off like he did against oscar,in the belief that hatton will tire later on,except he wont, floyd will then win the middle rounds, going in2 the last few rounds, hatton will be ahead but only just,i c it being close until the last round and then i c hatton going all out and pushing floyd around the ring to take the split decision....

Of course after he loses, floyd wil say that hatton was dirty and that he hurt his hand.....

    Hatton has some duran similarities.
If Floyd has the balls to go toe to toe and stand flat footed with Ricky in any round, you will think the Spirit of Duran lives in Hatton. I hope Floyd fights like a POUND 4 POUND KING and not like the Worlds Greatest Bicyclist
How did it make you feel to see Cotto moving around and circling against Mosley for the last 3 rounds?
I felt sort of relived because many people had never seen Cotto do this before. You have to go back to one or two of Cotto's very early fights to see him box. I have seen Cotto do many things and I know what he is capable of doing. This is why I laugh when I read people saying that Cotto is one dimensional or that he is too slow. I have studied Cotto very thoroughly. He showed Shane that he is not the only one who can bounce on his feet and get on his bike. All fighters have bikes. Cotto's bike is rusted if you ask me but it still works. If Cotto did nothing more than get on his bike, I would not be a fan of his.
This is a good answer. I have been VERY impressed with Cotto's boxing ability in recent fights, especially in terms of his jab, which has become a great weapon.

I just wonder... if Floyd were to stand in the center of the ring for 8 or 9 rounds against Hatton, and then dance for the final 3 rounds to preserve a win on the scorecards, would you give him the same amount of respect?

I don't think it'll be like Duran Leonard 1 for a number of reasons. The 2 main onesuran got into SRL head and made him fight his fight. Second,Duran had the power to hurt Ray with his punches. I don't think Hatton can do either to Floyd and Floyd is better defensively than Ray Leonard and Hatton is not as good offensively as Duran.

I'va always thought the "Power Punches" stats from that fight were very misleading.

A lot of Castillo's "power punches" were light right hands that he would tap on Mayweather's side when they were in a clinch. Basically, if they got in a clinch and Castillo's left arm was tied up, he would hit Floyd with his free right hand.

That's completely legal, and it should count as a landed punch, but it wasn't really a "power punch," in fact those punches were thrown with much less force than a clean jab.

That's why I don't like when people sometimes put so much more weight on power punch stats than jab stats, because all power punch means is a punch that isn't a jab, it doesn't mean it's actually thrown with power. An authorative clean jab does more damage than a light "power punch."

    I thought Mayweather-Castillo I was a draw, for what it's worth.
