Default How Much Does Amir Khan Have To Do ??

Khan started off his career as the darlin boy of the British boxing scene. He was our only representative as the 2004 Olympic Games and did us proud by winning Silver only losing out to a great Mario Kindelan!

He avenged that loss by beating Kindelan in his last amature fight before going on to fight a dozen or so hand picked bums who stood their and got hit. This lost him a lot of props and then after his knock down by Limond he lost further props in a fight which many thought that Limond was winning.

So....my question to my fellow Saddo lovers...is...what does Khan have to do against Earl and then consequently in 2008 to prove he is the real deal and is still the darlin boy of the british boxing scene

IMO...convinvingly beat Earl via an early knock out and let him off the reigns in early 2008. He will need to fight Thaxton and beat him and then he is back on as a future prospect.

Im still a massive fan of Kahn but i would like him to KO Earl and Thaxton then move on to european title then world the proper route Kahn's only undoing will be his young age.

I'd prefer to see him comprohensively outbox Earl to a decision, but being tested, that would increase my faith in him

Khan will always be criticized because of his hype. He gets the seemingly endless promotion, the main events on the same card as bigger fights with bigger fighters and has a contract with reebok. Proven professional fighters with great amateur pedigree don't get the same, or anywhere close in most cases. He hasn't beaten anyone yet to even put a dent in the criticism. You can bet his management wont have him fighting anyone that will end the questions of his ability by the end of 2008. At least not anyone that would make him deserving of the hype.

Beat Earl in style and then face Thaxton.

Afterthe Thaxton fight then we will have a good idea of how good Khan will be.

To prove he's the real deal in this division which IMO has an abundance of talent, I have to use the Katsidis standard.
If he is as effective against Earl as Katsidis was he will have proven something.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
