But the story that I really like was the one about none other that Cassius Clay.

He was at ringside for his fight with Cooper and the reason Clay got knocked down was that he spent the whole fight looking at film star Doris Day who was also at ringside.I think the fact that Cooper could hit like a mule might have had somthing to do with it as well.

Dont know how genuine the story is but I thought I would share it with the Saddo Crew.

LOL CC#137 Porky for the story info...anything is possible with Ali especially as a kid before all the Muslem white devil stuff started with him for that brief time in his life....

I would possibly contribute it to a few things...Ali being arrogant,,,,Henry hitting with a heck of a wallop and Doris at ringside ...at the time that was a big fight especially for young Clay....so I would throw in a bit of nerves as well

Interesting fact also...
Pj O'hAlloran an ex Irish International amateur was claimed to have boxed rings around McBride on numerous occasions and given him a going over.
Not surprised?
How bout when i tell you PJ was a flyweight

I wouldn't doubt it McBride is a SLOB!!!
