Default Whats the odds for hatton vs floyd?

I'm not sure but i heard its like 9/2 for hatton to k.o or t.k.o floyd. with those odds it won't hurt to bet on hatton then. Anybody know though, what the odds really are if what i heard is not true?

I was just looking on betfair and the odds are mental. 2/1 on a mayweather decision, 5/1 for ko/tko and 5/1 for a Hatton KO/TKO. It's pretty much impossible to loose money with those odd and if Hatton or Mayweather get a KO victory you'd be in profit.

Playboy, bookies don't lose money. Bettors do.

Wait til closer to fight time, though. See what the Vegas odds are once all the Brits arrive. It should close more.

Dios, betfair isn't a bookie, but I did read the odds wrong, it's 4/1 and evens on a Mayweather decision.

Aren't they a consolidation site that shows what the bookies are giving?

If you see odds, those odds are from a bookie. No?

No, you can lay your own bets, so you yourself can be both a bookie and a bettor. It's more like thousands of individuals acting as bookies and all available on the one site.

    Oh.. Ok. Thanks.

    But be careful.
This fight was 3:1 odds.... it might as well have been 100:1

cc for the vid, but Gatti is nothing like Hatton. Gatti stands well off before launching an attack. Hatton bulls in first before throwing. It seems that against Mayweather, using a jab is suicide. he beats everyone to the punch, hence Gatti's face. Hatton will not try to out jab mayweather.

    Two questions:

    1) How will Hatton get inside? Behind what punch?

    2) Can you please point me to an example where Hatton effectively dealt with superb lateral movement?

tbh, Hatton doesn't rely on one punch as he moves in, but more his willingness to take a shot as he does so. He is not afraid to take a shot to the head if it gives him the opportunity to punish the body. As for lateral movement, nobody with anywhere near the ability of Floyd, but that's why he's p4p#1

Doesn't that sound like a formula for Ricky TAKING MORE punishment than he has ever taken and GIVING LESS punishment than he has ever given out?

    call me crazy.

The odds for this fight are much closer than they should be. Most lines I've seen have Floyd at -200. He should be somewhere in the neighborhood of -400, if not higher.
The smart money at the casinos will be heavy bets on Floyd.

    1) A lot of fighters do not actually use a punch to get inside. Some like tyson utilise slipping bobing and weaving, others like Marciano walk the opponent down and cut of the ring and some like Ricky use a leaping hook, then tie the opponent up, almost trapping the opponent in a web before forcing him to the ropes.
    2) Sparring with Steve Forbes showed him handling lateral movement well. And ironically in many of his fights before Kostya Ricky was seen as the one with the superb lateral movement.
