Well at his age it's not unusual at all for chin to improve. Supplementary to that therer is a limited amount of training he can do. In my personal opinion the knockout loss in question may see him branded as chinny unnecessarily. He wasn't knocked out by a journeyman, he was knocked out by a psyched, prepared and extremely motivated Ponce de Leon, who has proven himself time and again as a big puncher.
So I feel Bautista may feel the same branding Iron Lewis felt after the McAll and Rahman losses.
I wish Bautista luck, he seems like a nice young guy and he can punch himself so perhaps that loss could be the best thing ever to happen to him. I still rate him a lot higher than fellow super bantam Bernard Dunne who suffered an identical fate around the same time.
