I wouldn't say Oscar is being bitter. He knows he got beat. I think it's more about promotion. Nobody is gonna buy the fight if you say that Hatton has no chance. He's doing a really good promotion job. And if Hatton someway actually wins, then Oscar's going to Wembley Stadium, hell, he's gonna fight Hatton unless Hatton gets dismantled and stopped by Mayweather. Oscar's salivating at the chance at fighting Hatton because he thinks it's almost a guaranteed win over an elite fighter that will make him money at the same time. I agree with him, he's way too big and too elite of a boxer to lose to Hatton. Why do you think Oscar ain't fighting Winky Wright? Winky's not a huge draw but he'll make Oscar some money. Oscar just know that he has no shot at beating Winky Wright and the fight would be hard to promote.Originally Posted by JT Rock
I think it's interesting how people change their tunes with a little bit of promotion. I remember when this fight was first announced, almost half this forum screamed to the heavens about how Hatton "wasn't a real challenge, Floyd was only doing it for the money, and Hatton had no shot so why is he fighting him when he could be fighting real welterweights." Now half of those same people are all of a sudden saying that Hatton is going to TKO Mayweather. I mean, it's amazing to see how easily people jump on bandwagons.
