Jesus Dios, you really are so far up mayweather's ass, when he speaks I'm surprised we don't hear your voice. Although thinking about, with all the shit that he spouts, it could very well be you we hear after all.
Look, I get that you like the guy, hopefully as a fighter and nothing else. As an individual the guy is pretty much scum. He's a bottom feeder, just like his uncle and his father. Money does not buy class and he is testament to that very fact.
Let's think about Hatton and the shit he went through on the promo tour. The grief he copped from Mayweather was insane and it's clear that a person like Hatton shoved in the limelight on a podium in Vegas is not going to be his normal self. So, at the end of the tour when he gets into an environment that he is cofortable with, he relaxed and had a dig back.
This probably played into Mayweather's hands a bit, but I don't think he could have bottled that up all the way to the fight.
So what if Hatton and his dad contradict themselves months apart, Mayweather does it within sentences and you haven't mentioned that once. Do a bit of digging pulls up gems like this:

"Even though Mayweather has had his own dustups with the law over domestic abuse allegations, he said, "We've helped the battered women and the battered children over the years. I never, never, you know -- I don't go there and talk about those type of things but, like I said before, this is a business and I understand. I understand that it has to be a good guy and it has to be a bad guy.""
Look, I can understand that fans of boxing appreciate his talents, they are phenomenal indeed, but to be a true fan of a fighter involves more than just admiring their skills. Hatton has his quick wit, the fact that he really is a family guy and still does all the same things he did when he was growing up. Pavlik for example is similar, a humble guy who you could spend a few hours with and he seems pretty normal.
Lewis was intelligent and reasoned outside of the ring. Why do you think the Brisitsh fans are so passionate? I'll give you a clue, it's becaue they love the person, not just the fighter.
You will probably claim that Mayweather is cynically misportrayed by the media, but there is one video posted on here which shows him for what he is:

I Will leave you with this. I am undeniably a Ricky Hatton fan. He is a great fighter, a great champion and a decent human being. He has his limitations and Mayweather is the better boxer of the two, but Floyd is not the god that you make him out to be. The difference between you and I is that if Ricky wins, it will not be entirely unexpected. I rate him as a 2-1 underdog, which I believe is reasonable in this fight. Your problem is that you have pitched your tent so far in Mayweather's corner (unreasonably far) that if he loses you will probably never be seen on these boards again. That would be a shame as imo you make some good, researched posts, but your blinkered loving of Mayweather just diminishes from that alot![]()
