The clamour for this fight is simply for one thing.
99% of the population wants to see Mayweather beaten, and Hatton has the best chance of doing that yet. Check this, look at the reception Mayweather is getting in his hometown. People come to see Floyd BE beaten, not to win. That's why he pulls in such a crowd, people want their guy to beat the best guy, they don't want to see the best guy win.

Big Dan,
Do you know why they even HELD a midweek presser on fight week? Hmmmm? Could it be because there are tons of British fans landing already?
Could the INTENT have been to amp up the promotion for the fans who flew over?
Who else do you think is in Vegas mid-week during the day time in December? Seriously?
99%... Yeah. There's ZERO hyperbole from the Hatton stans.
In Dan's defense, I doubt he knows what hyperbole means.
lmao, best post today. CC.
Shame it ain't relevent. I know about American slang, hyperbole is said everyday in american sports culture. Do you know what a nutmeg is? (Not the spice either).
Don't know what a nutmeg is..
I just thought the post was funny regardless of who it was aimed at, not cause it was you, Dan, so my bad if you thought that..
Is hyperbole slang though? I haven't heard that one in quite a while.
When your talking sports announcers i.e Fox, ESPN etc they use the word hyperbole in a way I'd call slang. If your talking proper, correct english hyperbole is not slang, but in the context of a sports broadcaster I'd certainly put that word under the category of slang. It's a flavour of the month kinda word for the announcers at the minute in my opinion.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
