    Default Alright Cotto nuthuggers

    1) Floyd is not ducking Cotto and will probably fight him if there is a good payday involved.

    2) Cotto is not as good as you are making out.

    3) Cotto went life or death with Lovemore N'dou and Ricardo Torres, while Chop Chop staggered him.

    4) Cotto has only one a-list fighter on his resume (a 36 year-old Shane Mosely - who gave him plenty of trouble) while Mayweather has at least 6.

    5) Cotto is a decent fighter, and I like him and think he is still improving. But:-

He is not in Floyd's league. Nobody else is either, it's nothing to ashamed of, but at the moment Floyd is the best fighter in the world by a street and anybody fighting him is going to get the same type of treatment that Ricky got on the weekend.

These fights were all at Jr Welterweight, Cotto is alot better at Welterweight. I don't think he went life a death with Torres except for the 2nd round he was pretty much always in control.

Ndou fight was tough but he was still a clear cut winner, he was never rocked or badly hurt.

Corley has staggered alot of people including Floyd Mayweather Jr, the important thing was how he reacted, and he reacted well and comeback thats what a champion does.

Cotto is not as good as you are making out.

Disagree here alot of people think Cotto is 1 dimensional when he isn't. He can fight on the back foot and counter while using good footwork. He can use the jab to penetrate through the guard and close the distance between himself and the opponent like he did vs Judah. And of course he can have a good tear up

I think when Grieg said that Cotto was not as good as u are making he was talking to the guys who say he would beat PBF easily.

    LMAO!

There is a reason why Floyd wont fight any Welters.
Sure he beat up little Ricky but did he do any of that to Oscar De La Hoya? No!
Sure weight drained Cotto was caught a few times by these fighters. Loverman DooDoo lost. It was a UD for Cotto.
Torres pushed Cotto to the ground. Was not a real knock down. Cotto destroyed Torres.
Corley also rocked PBF too and PBF was unable to stop Corley.
Cotto destroyed Corley and made him squat to pee. Facking low blows was Corley's thing.
    Cotto destroyed Corley in 5
Cotto is better than I make him out to be and the way Floyd kissed Cotto's @ss before he went into hidding again, should speak volumes. Read between the lines. Floyd does not want to fight any welter weights because these welters are good enough to beat Floyd.

Don't get me wrong Sweet Pea - I like the guy, think he's good for the sport and I like watching him fight.

But these people who are saying that Floyd is running from Cotto, or that he's scared of Cotto, or that Miguel would beat Floyd if they fought - they are delusional.

And yes, I agree that Cotto has looked far better as a welterweight than he did at 140 (especially as far as taking a punch goes) - but there is business for him to attend to at 147 (namely Margarito or Williams) before he gets to the main man IMO.

It is amusing to me that a lot of the guys who backed Hatton are now jumping on the Cotto bandwagon,

I said Cotto will unify by end of 2008. Now that PBF has gone into hidding again in fear of the Welter Weight division.
Cotto has no choice but to call out Williams and Cintron and I hope he does call them out.
Margarito needs to work his way back up. He passed on Cotto to fight Williams and Tony lost his belt and his chance. I would still love to see Cotto/Margarito.
I can wait another year until I see Cotto destroy Floyd. I honestly have no choice but to wait since chicken man is hidding from the TRUTH Cotto
