Undefeated is overrated. Almost all great fighters have lost one time or another in their career. Hatton's a good fighter. I don't see him disappearing anytime soon.

That deserved a cool click. My day started out shitty and this is the first time I've laughed. I didn't see the fight on PPV, I'll be catching it Saturday. Losing to the P4P best doesn't "expose you". If a shot Castillo had kayoed him I would have said so. I rooted for Mayweather, but I don't see the necessity to call Hatton garbage. I don't like his rough house tactics, but that aside, the guy hits hard and he takes a good punch and his work rate (when he eats right) is phenomenal. I'd like to read something from someone who was looking for Hatton to win being a little humble instead of calling Joe Cortez "man of the year". Cortez didn't land the left hook that put Hatton down. Hatton lost.

lol Dont break out in a political rave now. Think you need to just admit that your wrong about Hatton.

If your the only person that has that opinion. It Generally means you are wrong.

    Wich you are.

I am sure theres alot of PBF fans that feel the same as i do, but they will never admit it because it will take away from his victory last night, so they will never admit that Hatton was a B level lower risk opponent. Instead PBF fans will want u to beleive that Hatton was the most dangerous opponent out there and not Cotto and Margarito or even Paul Williams (A.K.A Stretch)
Hatton certainly wasn't the best opponent out there. I am a Mayweather fan. But with his massive fanbase he was the biggest payday out there. Now that that's over and done with, leapfrog Margarito and Mosley, the next opponent is Miguel Cotto. Not Paul Williams, either. It's not just about who's the best, it's also about who can provide the most $$$. If I got punched in the face for a living I'd do the same thing. That's why he fought Oscar. Oscar wasn't on some massive win streak. A year before he fought a club level fighter in Ricardo Mayorga and before that he got his liver handed to him by B-Hop. And all of this was over 2 or 3 years (I don't remember offhand exactly how much time)? On paper, a fight against Oscar didn't make sense. But it made a lot of dough. Floyd's at the point where he isn't concerned with knocking down everybody out there. He wants to take on people with deep pockets.

Hope Ricky rebounds back at light welter as he can still forge a legacy worthy of the HoF if he carves out the light welters completely.
A level at lightwelter B level Welter how can this be true just because he got beat by Mayweather the same would have happened at lightwelter Hatton now needs to fight Witter.

I agree. This is the reason why i personally don't think Floyd can me mentioned with some of the all time greats. He certainly is as skilled as any fighter in the history of the sport. But he is not fighting the BEST fighters out there. He is fighting the ones that bring him the most $$$...and i cannot completely hate on him for that. But he truly needs to end his career fighting some much better opposition if he wants to be taken seriously as one of the very top all time greats.

Challenging the P4P #1 at a higher weight and losing does not mean he is hyped, simply means he is a champion but not as good a Chamion as Mayweather. It also means he has the courage to fight the very best which is commendable

There's no disgrace in that my friend, I bet any one of us would be proud of ourselves, wouldnt you

Do you honestly think that Mayweather was even a natural welterweight? Mayweather is just as much a Welterweight as Hatton is/was.

Can people quit using the "he moved up" excuse

IF Oscar had knocked Floyd out NONE of you would have said "Mayweather moved up in weight was the reason he lost" NO ONE

He's not the only one ,I agree 100% with his breakdown. I think lots of others on this board agree to ,but wont say it because they fear being ridiculed and attacked.

If Ricky is a crap fighter for losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. then by that rational Floyd Mayweather Jr is a crap fighter because that's all he has fought ........so says his fans

So all you guys bitching about the "Floyd haters" need to give Floyd's opponents a little credit....I'm not saying Ricky is a world beater at welterweight but he fought with a lot of heart and he did everything in his power to try and win and was just outclassed by the better guy, doesn't make him a crap fighter ......unless of course you want to consider Floyd a crap fighter, and even I admit he's too good for that.
