Why does Witter deserve the fight more than Paulie?

Witter's been hounding Hatton to fight him for the past 7/8 years. Before Powderpuff even turned pro.

Witter is rated above Powderpuff in The Ring ratings ( )

Witters form is better than Powderpuffs. Well, Powderpuffs form and belt are no better than Witters.

If Hatton can fight Powderpuff he can fight Witter. Fact. Although if I was Hatton I'd MUCH rather face Powderpuff.

Fair enough,excellent points(apart from the first one.argarito has been calling out Mayweather for 2 years,doesn't mean he deserves the fight). I just think a Paulie fight would be better for him if he wants to carry on fighting stateside,which it sounds like he does. However,I concede your points are valid and legitimate.

The difference is Hatton and Witter are Brits that live a couple hours apart. They built-up a rivalry to the point where Hatton had it written into a contract with Warren that he would get to face Witter. This was BEFORE they became "world" champions. Before Hatton became a BIG star.

If Hatton is fighting the stars - Floyd, Cotto, Oscar - then fair enough, Witter doesn't get a look in. But if Paulie or Torres are worthy then Witter most defintely is.

I'd like to see another 140 card like Hatton/Urango and Castillo/Ngoudjo tournament style except Witter/Malignaggi and Hatton/Torres Wembley stadium is fine for me. that would set-up a superfight where Witter or Malignaggi would have proven worthiness by beating the other. Furthermore
Hatton could further prove himself by beating "the guy that knocked Cotto down."
