One thing you forgot to mention is that Floyd has only fought at 147lbs twice and both fighters were soutpaws, so of course the training for these two were a little bit different than would be the case of the conventional style fighter. I think at 140 or 147 is PBF at his best. I am sure when Mayweather fights the right type of fight at 147lbs he will do fantastic. His defense was still on point when he was fighting Mitchell and Judah.Margarito is bigger, stronger and throws more leather with more power in each shot than anyone there..... Floyd does not have the speed he did@140 and he likes to plant his feet more, well,do that against Tony...he's a dead man.
Cintron was not expected to beat Margarito, just by looking at cintrons record you could tell he was just a big puncher and never had fought any skilled oppenents that pushed him to the limit. 24 wins 22KO's.. come on. Just like this other guy Mayweather fought, Phillip N'Dou, 31 wins, 30 KO's. That's impressive but, if you are just fighting below average oppenents then it means nothing. I watched all the interviews and other people who analyzed the fighters, and bottom line...Cintron was in trouble~!!!Never takes risks...Cintron was ko punching machine, the new "tito",people only belittle him now because Tony destroyed him and the funny thing is,I can guarantee most predicted a Cintron Ko but Tony took what he had and just walked through him! Margarito may not fight A grade opponents but there are plenty of unbeaten hungry,YOUNG opponents and yeah Shotgun had 10 losses, but if you want to go back that far,he also took PRIME MOSLEY the distance and whenhe fought Tony,he had not lost for 8-9 years.
I have been watching boxing for a long time, and Yes, Margario throws alot of punches, but so did Deigo Corrales and what did Floyd do to beat him.... Just moved all night and kept Corrales on quiz street. No one would ever guessed that Corrales would be so overmatched and outclassed because Corrales was a big puncher that Killed almost all the good fighters prior to moving up to 135.I highly doubt Floyd will "embaress" Margarito, out of all Floyd's tall opponents, with whom he admittedly shares various characteristics,Tony is most like a Castillo, rugged, tough hardcore mexican and although not as skilled,he makes up by throwing twice as much leather and being even more rugged! Let me remind you that Floyd fan or not(I am a Floyd fan but first and foremost a boxing fan),Jose bust PBF in the first fight, broken hand or not,ANYONE who saw the fight knows JLC won by 3 rounds at least.
Margarito is bigger and stronger and I did see the first JCL fight and I felt it was closer to a draw than anything. They gave it to Mayweather and that's that. Floyd's first fight at 135lbs and he fought for the WBC title and Ranked # 1 Jose Luis Castillo.. Won, although people felt he lost, so they had a rematch and PBF sealed the deal. Castillo is good, Mayweather has nothing to be ashamed of, even if the win wasn't as impressive as people thought it could be. Ever since that Floyd has been rolling through all his oppenents.
Eventually Floyd will fight Margarito and shut everyone up... Floyd does his best against bigger guys like Margarito.....If it takes a former super Featherweight to move up to Welterweight to stop this big Mexican Monster at 147, then Floyd will do it. He'll win and then Margatio can move up to 154 or 160lbs. and see if his size matters there.
Thank for the challenge, I love it!!!
