No other fighter went from middleweight champ all the way up to heavyweight champ all the while remaining undefeated save for a controversial DQ against a figther he was delivering a final KO blow to.
If he would have retired after Ruiz he could have been an argument for the best ever.

As for Floyd a world champ in 5 weight classes, never beaten, never dropped save for when he broke his hand on someones hand. The best defensive fighter in the last 20 years, probably even better than Sweet Pea.

First ballot Hall of Famers both of them and all time great boxers no question.
Agree with everything you said cept for the bold text. There was nothing controversial in that DQ. Jones committed a blatant foul by hitting him not once, but twice while his knee was down. I have seen very few DQs more deserving.
I don't agree Griffin was really acting up he knew he was done and acted up. Witherspoon hit Frank Bruno 3 times when he was on the canvas he didn't get DQ, Bika hit Jaidon 2 times when he was on the canvas he didn't get DQ. They wern't hard punches from Jones so i don't think he should of been DQ.
I tend to be very black and white with these sort of things. Especially when it is a rule made for the safety of the fighters. IMO whether Griffin acted up or not, whether the punches were hard or not, are irrelavent. IMO all those fighter's you mentioned should've been DQed, or at the very least had 2 points deducted. And I say this even without having seen those fights.

Either way we all know what happend and we all agree that it has nothing to do with Jones status as an ATG.
