Yes I agree with you ok it's not the rising through the weight classes that is important here but rather being the champ in the BEST weight class.

Either way you look at it Hatton failed.

And BHop isn't a great example as Hopkins IS a two weight world champ and his reputation improved MASSIVELY with his win over Antonio Tarver.
