Spicoli, I'm interested in knowing where you had seen Azumah prior to the Salvador fight. I don't think I've ever chatted with someone who had seen Azumah prior to that fight. Or are you playing this one by what you saw years later. If you did see Azumah prior to the Salvador fight could you recommend any fights pre-Salvador?
Thanks.
Hey Mick,How goes It.All though I wish it was the case,I had not seen Nelson fights Prior to Sanchez fight but I would pay top dollar for em' .
I would venture to guess () that this was the most intense and fierce Nelson had come in for a fight through his first 13 bouts.Given the Fact that he was a late sub for Mario miranda and going against a living legend In sanchez and a virtual unknown,as stated on previous Thread,It was one of those "Sudden Sensation" fights.I received it in trade a month after seeing Nelson Ko Suarez on T.V (after FIVE attempts,it was a status thing for traders,Top trader would not let go of it,ecspecially to a "Newbie": Internet has made us ALL dinosaurs LMao) and I was a life time fan after that.
Just watching progression of career in perspective after War with Sanchez,As original thread page 1 asked,Yeh,I looked forward to seeing him After and I dont know if he had looked Better prior to Sanchez But I very much doubt It.If You EVER find early Nelson (12-0) hook a fellow addict up Mick . Great fighter!!
No worries Spicoli was just curious if myabe you caught Azumah prior to that bout. But yes I agree it is safe to say Azumah had not performed better then what he did on that night. What a fight that was and Sal boxed well, not his best but very good.
Thanks Spicoli.
