That was released from the Vaticans vaults years ago to some monks I forget what decree ,but I think its still only a dollar from them.
    ...understood

It is impossible to put a policy around spirituality and the Vatican just won't accept that.

In my book 'A World Lit Only By Fire' by William Manchester he writes extensively on the ills of the Vatican and specifically the evil popes....the Borgia pope is one bad mofo.....Christ's Viccar on Earth who has orgies like the old Romans and murders various people.

This book is partially why I consider Al Gore no good...as he insists that people buy carbon offsets, and I see that as no different than buying indulgences from the Vatican.
He is one of my favorite authors, Goodbye Darkness is arguably my favorite book.
I'm reading Scar Tissue by Anthony Keidis (of the Red Hot Chili Peppers), its a great book, I can hardly put it down and I'm not even a fan of the band.

CC, William Manchester is a great writer....if you have any intrest in: Martin Luther, Magellan, The Borgia Family, Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and just the Dark Ages in general I highly suggest reading 'A World Lit Only By Fire'

I saw "Richard and John: Kings at War" and I figure I might buy and read that whenever I have some free time.....I have a couple books to read before then.....I just bought 'American Psycho' by Brett Easton Ellis and I also have a book on the Crusades to read as well.

FYI they are making a movie of one of the books I just got finished with 'The Last Duel' a really good book and very interesting true story, I am interested how it'll be on screen

My favourite books would have to be 1984 by Orwell, Don Quixote by Cervantes and Naked Lunch by Burroughs.

I also love Great Expectations by Dickens and the "Road to freedom" trilogy by Sartre.

I love lots of books but these are some of the books that have struck a chord with me.

Do you have lots of leather-bound books, and a house that smells of rich mahogany though? Are you kind of a big deal?

No, and they are pretty much all in paper back too. I like a good book and to be honest, there are few great books written in this day and age.

As Norman Mailer said towards the end...no one cares about writing a great book anymore. Sad but so true and he didnt write a great book either.

Straight from any op shop for a couple of bucks you can get a book called "The Phantom Major" by virginia crowells .
Its the true story on how the SAS started in the mind of one young man and formed in certain ranks and it has their whole storys from behind the enemy lines in the Sahara it has photos of the original men in their inuits out on the dunes in camo laying up during the day etc and really is well written and very exciting for most parts.
IT has a slightly flat ending because there is no real ending to these men and their legacy.

    I can explain it.
