El Flaco Explosive was a wonderfull fighter, one of my all time faves(thanks to Tuctan, where did he go?!) However,I think he had some problems with guys who used lateral movement. Coupled with Mayweather's pop at the lower weights,I'd favour Floyd to win on points but I can see Alexis hurting him a few times with those pin point shots. Would have been a beautiful fight.

147,Floyd v SRL. SRL wins for me.He had the speed and offence to go along with it and it would that v Floyd's speed and defence. I'd favour Leonard on points.

I think Hearns has the style to give Mayweather hell:1 punch ko power, plus freakishly long reach and jab. Everything needed to combat Floyd's speed. Heanrs wins that for me.

It's a testament to Mayweather's skills that we can talk about him v these other legends. It's not a matter of who we think would win but rather that we are even comparing him to them shows how much talent he has.

It's all hypothetical but the Tszyu of 1999-2002 would have caused huge problems for PBF. Floyd has incredible defensive skills and appears to work his opponents out very early on in his fights, maybe Hearns with his height and power might have done the job, i think we are seeing a true all time great in this era and we are finding it difficult to believe that Floyd could beat our favorite fighters of the past, he is already beating our favorite fighters of the present.
Great post mate CC i agree with the lot of that.

You're absolutely right, it is a testament to his skills it is really a shame he doesn't WANT to be the best. He needs to fight others to be considered a " legend "; however it is fun trying to match up Floyd with old fighters ( since he has a lot of skill and great defense ). But I'm with Emanuel Steward on this one, he is not yet GREAT...almost though.

Im just watching Mayweather Sr vs Leonard again and Mayweather Sr did give Leonard a few problem's i think Mayweather Jr does a lot better against Leonard than most people expect.

My Dad was and remains a huge Leonard fan. He watched evert single Leonard fight and interview. He was big into Leonard and I think he even has an embossed memory of Leonard (and indeed Hagler) in his mind.

His knowledge of modern boxing is limited as a result of boxing falling off mainstream media and Dec 8th was the first time he saw Floyd Mayweather jr. He said in his opinion Floyd had evrything needed to beat Leonard.

Mayweather Sr actually won quite a few rounds off Leonard, but he wasn't nowhere near as effective at using shoulder roll while he was on the ropes as Mayweather Jr is. And thats where he got into the most trouble while being on the ropes.

Agreed there. I thought that Mayweather Sr. was proving problematic up until getting hurt. I think Sr. was hurt by something and all his plans were then dispensed.

It's difficult to say really. Leonard had a huge amateur career behind him and the finest training available at the time so he should have been 100% prepared.

Furthermore, Floyd Sr. Wasn't all that much more expierienced.

Look i do not want to sound stubrun but i saw the fight and i thought Leonard dominated it adn seem to play with him as the fight went on. And when it comes to Floyde i still Feel at welterweight that Leonard beats Floyd and i have seen nothing from Floyde that i can see him beating SRl at welter weight but to be fair Floyde did not start at the weight. So that when i think it is unfari to match him up with Hearns and Leonard because they started at the weight and were both bigger.

No stress man, it's justme yabbing
I too felt that Ray was going on to dominate later, but I think FLOYD WAS HURT BY SOMETHING (MAYBE IT WAS HIS CONFIDENCE THAT GOT HURT?) up until the 4/5th i thought he boxed well.

As for Floyd, I don't like him but he is damn talented and having met Leonard myself and marvelled at how small he was I give Floyd a great shot...But Hearns, that man was a different story.

Sorry again for the Caps Lock, the keyboard is dodge.

Leonard beats him in his prime.
Hearns beats him becuase hes far too big for PBF.
Duran would be a good fight with PBF at lightweight would of loved to see that. I pick duran to stop him though.
Obviously, SRR is the probly the best ever so you would have to say he beats Floyd.

The fight I woould most like to see Floyd in would be against Whitaker, may not seem the most exciting fight to some, but I would love to see that fight prime for prime.
