But personally i think Pavlik would beat Kessler by KO if they fought at SM.
Kessler is not the puncher Pavlik is.

Kessler is faster, stronger, more durable, vastly more skilled, and would have a very easy time finding Pavlik. Pavlik doesn't present 1/5th of the challenges that Calzaghe posed Kessler, and Kessler showed a lot of ability in that fight (he did better against Calzaghe than anyone since Robin Reid).
Kessler gets very underrated because he's not only European, he's Danish, a nation not known for produced notable boxers, although they seem to produce very tough boxers ie. Kessler and Nielsen; he also has the technically sound and methodical boxer-puncher style that never gets any respect, even after it is used to humiliate more "exciting" boxers. Pavlik, on the other hand, gets extremely overrated because he's not just an American blood 'n' guts warrior, but he's a white American blood 'n' guts warrior with a well-crafted public image.

In the ring, however, Kessler would look like a champion handling a hand-picked stay-busy opponent. I wouldn't even be particularly shocked by a Calzaghe/Lacy-esque dominance. In Kessler's loss to Calzaghe alone, he showed more potential than Pavlik did in any of his fights.
No bias here folks, he is from Denmark!!

Seriously though, you are making Kessler out to be a god here. Trust me when I say, he will not walk over Pavlik like you seem to think. If you think Pavlik is over rated, you are wrong. He has left some great opposition wrecked in the ring. Pavlik has answered every test given to him, and answered every test brutally.

I think you are the one over rating Kessler to be honest. He is a great fighter, but he is not a special fighter. he is in the same league as Pavlik and if they do fight, don't be too surprised if that 1 in his record becomes a 2.
